QUALIFICATIONS
- Entry level individual currently enrolled, or graduated, from an undergraduate architecture or landscape architecture design program. Accredited NAAB or LAAB program strongly preferred. Master’s programs preferred.
- If applicable, currently enrolled students have completed at least 3 years of study in University, 4 years strongly preferred
- Previous work experience required; previous professional internship strongly preferred
- Able to work efficiently (relative to experience level) with Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office (AutoCAD a plus)
- Exhibits a working knowledge of drafting fundamentals, dimensioning practices, and 3d visualization

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- NSPJ Architecture (or Landscape Architecture) Interns are expected to complete entry-level work on client projects, as part of an existing project team. Interns will be committed to learning and development during their tenure and will be open to receiving direction and feedback from Designers and Architects. As part of your support for our existing project teams, under the direct supervision of an experienced colleague, you’ll be expected to execute tasks including, but not limited to:
- Revit drafting, primarily of construction documents (AutoCAD experience also a plus)
- Sketchup modeling
- Interpret and implement all redlines thoroughly (models, drawings, documents)
- Printing and collating drawing sets
- Delivery of city forms, material gathering / material sample boards, scanning documents, transmittals, etc.
- As-Built measuring and photos on the jobsite
- Attend professional development opportunities, such as in-house seminars, site visits, etc.
ESSENTIAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Daily in-person attendance for a typical workday
- Essential for the effective performance in this role and the successful operation of the firm’s business, must be able to communicate (verbal and written) effectively and constructively in English with NSPJ employees, consultants, and clients to convey and understand details relating to projects and other business-related items.
- Collaborate with others and work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge and daily use of computers and the computer programs mentioned above
- Able to work at a desk throughout the workday; adjustable (sit or stand) desks are standard
- Must be able to see, interpret, and analyze data in color on computer screens/programs and paper
- Performs effectively under conditions of occasional high stress and pressure

Must possess/own a smartphone in order to complete two-factor authentication required for some websites, programs
